I actually think this is really cool. The fact that eye makeup and contact lenses can make that much of an impact is staggering. Gives me appreciation of what makeup artists do.

I also think it’s important for girls looking at fashion magazines to see the other side of these girls faces and realize how much impact makeup has on our conceptions of beauty and just how normal everyone is under it all.

It is a good example… But still freaks me the hell out

The difference of the perceived size/shape of the eyes almost make it look like they’re deformed, but it’s a great example of the power of cosmetics. If you look closer, they also did foundation and concealer on only one side of the face, so bags under the eyes and dark circles were smoothed out/covered up. Amazing the difference fashion can bring to a woman’s face, good or bad that may be.
